2004年以来の木箱への復活も、ユーザーの要望に応えたもの。（フェイク対策で言ってもコストがかかる木箱の存在は、プラス効果でしょう。）
QRコード付加についても、個々のボトルナンバーや識別ナンバーを管理（アクティベーション）する形であれば、更なるフェイク対策にも成り得るものと期待しましたが、購入者全員の環境がネットに向くわけではないことから、これはやや厳しいのでしょうか。

Fine Oak 21, 25 and 30 years old and Sherry Oak 25 and 30 years old are now all presented in the new boxes (see images at the bottom of this post).
In 2004 we moved away from wooden boxes to the rigid cardboard variety of recent years. But following considerable feedback, we realised the sheer popularity of the wooden variation. So, as they say, your wish is our command.
On each box you will find a QR (or Quick Response) code, which when scanned with your iPhone, Android or other camera-enabled Smartphone, will link to a film with a personal introduction to The Macallan by Brand Education Director, David Cox. David will take you through the tasting notes for the expression you’ve bought and give recommendations on other whiskies in the range that you may like to try.
Our aim is to bring The Macallan Distillery in Speyside, Scotland closer to you and give you real insight into the brand with your own personal tasting experience.
